Yes, completely. Searching, reading reviews, requesting quotes and messaging contractors cost nothing, and there is no account required to browse. Contractors pay for the software they run their business on; you are never the product.
Each contractor has a JetScore, a scorecard built from four published factors: rating quality, responsiveness, review recency, and the share of reviews that come from verified jobs. Search results are ordered by that score. Money is never in the formula: a contractor cannot pay for a higher spot, and reviews are never hidden for commercial reasons. Only the contractor you chose. Your request goes straight into their job list, and they reply to you directly. HomeJet never sells your request to other contractors or passes your details to a lead broker.
No. There are no anonymous reviews; every one is tied to a real person. Most are Verified Job reviews: a past customer the contractor invited after a job tracked in HomeJet. A signed-in HomeJet homeowner can also leave a review of a pro. It is attached to their account and shows on their public reviewer profile, but it is not marked Verified. Because the share of Verified reviews is one of the JetScore factors, a contractor whose reviews come from tracked jobs ranks higher than one relying on unverified ones.
No account is needed to search, read reviews, or check JetScores. You sign in with a free homeowner account only to request a quote, message a contractor, save favourites, or leave a review, so your projects, documents and messages all stay in one place.
A review shows a Verified badge when it comes from a customer the contractor invited after a real job tracked in HomeJet, so you know the reviewer was an actual paying customer. Reviews from signed-in homeowners still count and are never anonymous, but they do not carry the badge.
HomeJet lists home-service pros across the Greater Toronto Area, including roofers, HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, painters, landscapers, handymen and more. Search by trade or browse the directory to compare pros near you.
You can flag any review for a moderator to look at, and flagging never hides a review on its own. For anything else, reach our team through the Contact page. Reviews are never removed for commercial reasons, and no contractor can pay to bury feedback.
