How we protect your data

Your business and your customers' information deserve to be kept safe. Here's exactly how we do it, in plain language, with no overpromising.

Your business runs on trust — your customers' information, and your own. Here's plainly how HomeJet keeps it safe.

Encrypted, coming and going

Everything you send to and from HomeJet travels over an encrypted (TLS) connection. Your data is also encrypted at rest with AES-256, both in our database and in the storage that holds your photos and documents. Get hold of the raw storage and you would see scrambled data, not your customer list.

Backed up automatically

Your data is backed up continuously and can be restored to any point within the last several days. Files are stored on infrastructure built for 99.999999999% durability.

Passwords are never stored in plain text

They are one-way hashed (bcrypt), even we cannot read them.

We sell software, not your customers

We will never sell your customer or business data. HomeJet earns from software subscriptions, not from your information, and marketplace ranking is earned through real work and reviews, never bought.

Your business is yours

Your customers, your jobs, your numbers: they belong to you. HomeJet stores your data so you can run your business, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or mine it to build profiles. We do not browse your records. You can export your data or delete your account at any time.

We are not a tax service

HomeJet is your private record-keeping and job-management tool. We do not file tax returns, issue tax slips, or send your income, invoices, or transaction data to the CRA or any tax authority.
What you record in HomeJet is for your own use.

Honest about availability

We host on autoscaling cloud infrastructure and work hard to keep HomeJet available around the clock. No online service is up 100% of the time, and we will not pretend otherwise, but automatic backups mean your data is protected even in the rare event of an outage.
