Your privacy is paramount to us. Learn how we collect, use, and protect your information at HomeJet.
This Privacy Policy explains how 74mph Solutions ("74mph Solutions", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use HomeJet, including the HomeJet website, business management and CRM tools, and homeowner marketplace (the "Service"). It applies to the businesses that use our tools ("Clients"), the people those Clients enter into the system such as their customers and leads ("End Users"), and homeowners who create a marketplace account ("Homeowners"). We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy law. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Client and team account information: when a business or team member registers, we collect information such as business name, contact name, email address, phone number, and account settings, plus a password stored only as a secure hash.
Homeowner account information: when a homeowner creates a marketplace account, we collect information such as name, email address, and a hashed password, along with the quote requests and project activity they create.
End User information entered by Clients: Clients may input information about their customers and leads, which may include names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, job details, and other contact or demographic information the Client provides.
Reviews and public profile content: reviews submitted about a contractor, together with business profile details, may be displayed publicly on the marketplace and used to calculate JetScore, an informational ranking. If you post a review, your first name and last initial, the review text, and your general area are public, and a public reviewer profile displays all reviews you have written and the average rating you give.
Payment information: paid subscriptions are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers, and Stripe handles card data under its own security standards. Separately, we do not collect or store the payment information of a Client customer or End User; our services do not process End User financial data.
Usage, cookies, and analytics: we use cookies and analytics, including Google Analytics, to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand how the Service is used, and improve the product. This can include IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical data.
to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including account management, customer support, and platform functionality;
to enable Clients to manage their workflow and to interact with End Users by issuing quotes and invoices;
to create and secure accounts and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, or abuse;
to operate the marketplace directory and calculate JetScore;
to send transactional messages such as verification, password resets, quotes, invoices, and review invitations;
to send relationship or product messages to contractors who manage a business on HomeJet, which they can opt out of;
to communicate about accounts and service updates, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
We do not sell, rent, or trade Client, End User, or Homeowner information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers: trusted third parties that perform functions such as hosting, data storage, payments (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics (Google Analytics). These providers are bound to protect the information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
Public marketplace: business profile details and reviews are shown publicly by design.
Legal reasons: when required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.
Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to confidentiality and data protection obligations.
With Client consent: we may share information with third parties when the Client explicitly authorizes us to do so.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security assessments. Each Client is responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for using strong, unique passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, and Clients share responsibility for protecting their account access. For a plain-language summary of our security practices, see How we protect your data.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Clients may delete or request deletion of End User data from their accounts, subject to our retention practices and applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
For End User information entered into the Service, the Client is the party responsible for that data and we act as a processor on behalf of the Client. Clients are responsible for:
ensuring their collection, use, and submission of End User information complies with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy frameworks such as PIPEDA and, where relevant to the Client, GDPR or CCPA;
obtaining any necessary consents or permissions from End Users before entering their personal information into the Service;
maintaining the security of their account credentials.
The Service does not collect, store, or process the payment information of a Client customer or End User. Any such financial transactions are handled outside the Service, and we are not responsible for those activities. This is separate from Client subscription billing, which is processed by Stripe as described above.
The Service may involve transferring data to servers or providers located in other countries, where different privacy laws may apply. We take steps so that international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.
Subject to applicable law, Clients and Homeowners may access, update, or delete their account information by signing into the Service or contacting us. Clients may request deletion of End User data they have entered, subject to legal and contractual obligations. End Users should contact the Client (the business using our Service) directly to exercise rights related to their personal information, since we act as a processor on behalf of the Client. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
The Service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, provide additional notice by posting the updated policy or through direct communication. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
